PPRA is offering members an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the 6abc building and Action News studios. Members will take a full walk-through of the facility, including the newsroom, brand-new studio and much more. At the end of the tour, guests will sit in on a live newscast.
Following the tour, Kristy Sevag of Sevag Public Relations, the licensed public relations firm for 6abc WPVI, will join PPRA members for a happy hour at B2 Blue Fin (401 E. City Ave., Bala Cynwyd, PA) to network and answer questions about the studio tour.

Tree House Books is nonprofit Literacy Center and Giving Library that provides free access to books and literacy programs to children and their families in low-income neighborhoods in Philadelphia. We are asking all attendees to consider donating a book at the upcoming Gold Medal luncheon. Tree House Books accepts new and like new book donations of all kinds for children and adults, however they are particularly interested in receiving children’s books, classic books that would be read in school and African-American literature.

The nearly 300 member Philadelphia Public Relations Association (PPRA) is honoring the Phillie Phanatic with its prestigious 2017 Gold Medal Award on November 8, 2017 at the Diamond Club located at Citizens Bank Park. The PPRA Gold Medal Award honors individuals and organizations whose accomplishments have left a lasting impact on our community and brought national recognition to Philadelphia.
The Phillie Phanatic is celebrating his 40th Anniversary this year. With his deep and sincere commitment to children’s literacy and participation in over 250 charity events each year, the Phanatic is a well-deserving recipient for this year’s Gold Medal Award. PPRA is honored to recognize the Phillie Phanatic for his role as an international ambassador of the City of Philadelphia.
